Dr. Hany M. Afifi is a consultant radiologist with over 35 years of experience in his field. He was the head of radiology department in the leading teaching hospital; Rashid Hospital, from 1981 – 2013 and Chief Radiology Consultant for Dubai Hospital, Al-Wasl (Latifa) Hospital and Al-Maktoum Hospital concurrently.
Under his leadership, Rashid Hospital Radiology Department grew from a team of 20 members processing a limited number of imaging requests to a team of 120 who annually conduct 200,000 radiologic examinations. The exemplary management of the Rashid Hospital Radiology qualified it to become the 1st government medical institution to gain Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation in 2007. In addition, the Rashid Hospital Radiology Department received the Dubai Government Excellence Programme Award for Best Technical Project in 2008 for their Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
Dr. Afifi was also instrumental in the setting-up of the Rashid Hospital Trauma Centre in 2006, regarded to be one of the largest in the world and the only emergency and trauma care unit of its kind in the region.
Dr. Afifi has wide and in-depth knowledge in general radiology, ultrasound/doppler, mammography, CT scan, MRI and interventional radiology procedures. He has lectured at numerous medical institutions across the UAE including Dubai Women’s Medical College and Higher Colleges of Technology to name a few. He received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award by The Radiology Society of the Emirates in 2016 for all his work and contributions to the advancement of radiology in the UAE.
Hania Afifi is a qualified Chartered Digital Marketer with 15 years of experience in the advertising & marketing fields. She started her career in risk consulting at Arthur Andersen streamlining business processes and conducting internal audits before moving onto JWT advertising agency where she gained cross sector exposure spanning FMCGs such as Lipton Tea and Dettol to high-end luxury properties such as Emaar and AlDar Properties.
Afifi's marketing profession did not deter her away from her creative and academic interests. She recently completed a MLitt degree in Modern & Contemporary Art at Christie’s Education London and a second MA in Art & Visual Culture at the University of Westminster.
Combining her extensive marketing, communications and client servicing experience with her passion for design and visual aesthetics, she joined Mega Scan to help establish its brand name and market presence.
Maryam Rehman is a Radiographer with over 5 years of experience. With a B.SC in Medical Imaging Technology from SMU India, she has very good knowledge of all imaging modalities including MRI, CT Scan, Mammography, X-rays and Ultrasound.
An optimist by nature, Rehman continuously seeks knowledge of new techniques and methods that ensure patient's comfort and safety.

Mohammed Khan is both a general radiographer and MRI technologist on both open MRI and 1.5 Tesla closed MRI machines. With over 5 years’ experience, Khan is trained to perform all special procedures incl. MR Spectroscopy, MRCP, MR Angiography, MR Venography, Breast Study, Fistulography, Epilepsy protocol, Trigeminal nerve study, Brachial plexus and all routine studies of brain, joints, spine and soft tissue.
